The “Antigua Aduana” and the “Casa del Cuño” were last March in the best Summer of Costa Rica, the meeting and party center for thousands of people who participated in the annual recurring International Design Festival, with the participation of renowned internationally renowned exhibitors as national.
The FID took its first steps 7 years ago as an idea of 4 young lovers of creativity and design, called Cinthia Bonilla, Alfredo Enciso, Paco Cervilla, Mario Sánchez and Monserrat Ramírez, who together said “we look for inspiration” through entertaining talks of exhibitors who share their experiences, stories and experiences with design and creativity in their personal and professional lives.
And so gradually different universities with careers in design, animation, creativity, advertising, audiovisual production and other related began to meet year after year in March with strong support from the teaching area. Also, people from other countries began to visit Costa Rica to participate in this interesting festival, and thus to socialize with their affine groups or enjoy academic tourism.
On this occasion, some 1,500 people, 13 international exhibitors and 2 national exhibitors with projects of great interest presented themselves. Another great attraction of this internationally renowned event is the presentation of the FID spaces in the “Casa del Cuño” of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, where the local national design makes its great exhibition and the “Art City Tour” where the Art of the city San José.
